The conditional route to S(U(3) × U(2))

Retaining rank-three and rank-two Hermitian carriers together with a product determinant tensor selects S(U(3) × U(2)). The stabilizer calculation leaves carrier selection, chiral matter and empirical Standard-Model matching as separate requirements.

01Two layers of the gauge programme

The gauge manuscript deliberately separates exact mathematics for a supplied singlet-binding Hamiltonian from a conditional SMM/DTT reconstruction of carriers, comparison rules and retained tensors. The static loop theorems use ordinary complex carrier spaces, positive penalties, hoppings and link matrices as inputs. The temporal interpretation asks whether one generative source and its completion records can select those inputs. Six nested inner stages are generative roles, not six separate clock axes or a pre-existing gauge multiplet. Exact solvability at the first layer is valuable, but it does not automatically close the selection problem at the second.

02State the retained carrier data

Assume completion retains two independent complex Hermitian carriers E₃ and E₂ of ranks three and two. Assume further that no extra retained tensor singles out bases within the blocks, and that a unit tensor τ in det E₃⊗det E₂ is globally retained. Without the last condition the natural unitary frame group is U(3)×U(2). With it, allowed frames must preserve the product of their determinants. These are substantive record assumptions, not consequences of writing down a seven-stage hierarchy.

A square loop has four mobile positions with gauge link labels. The root is coupled to a stationary dual outside the loop; a loop arrow denotes holonomy.
Figure 1. The four-position singlet-bound loop. A mobile carrier hops around four supplied positions while its stationary dual remains at the root. The root singlet penalty and the link holonomy determine the finite model response. This construction presupposes the lattice and carrier data. View full size ↗

03The stabilizer calculation

A block unitary (u₃,u₂) multiplies τ by det u₃ det u₂. Its stabilizer is therefore S(U(3)×U(2)). The Lie algebra satisfies tr X₃+tr X₂=0 and decomposes into su(3), su(2) and one relative u(1), with dimensions eight, three and one. The primitive integral central weights are −2 and +3 because three copies of −2 plus two copies of +3 sum to zero.

G={ (u₃,u₂): det u₃ det u₂=1 }
dim G=8+3+1=12
3(−2)+2(3)=0

04Why the global quotient matters

The map (g₃,g₂,z)↦(z⁻²g₃,z³g₂) from SU(3)×SU(2)×U(1) has a six-element kernel, yielding the quotient by ℤ₆. This identifies the global group, not just its Lie algebra. A local curvature condition tr F₃+tr F₂=0 is weaker than a globally parallel determinant tensor: a flat determinant line can still have nontrivial holonomy. The source reconstruction must therefore justify global retention and patching, rather than inferring them from local trace cancellation.

S(U(3)×U(2)) ≅ [SU(3)×SU(2)×U(1)]/ℤ₆

05What is still required for Standard-Model physics

The familiar group does not by itself produce the observed chiral matter content, spin statistics, anomaly cancellation mechanism, masses or measured couplings. Coherent invariant sewing can enforce a neutral Gauss sector under an additional composition rule; ordinary frame twirling does not generally do so. A source-selected carrier must also support nontrivial physical transport and a controlled action. The SMM/DTT value of this construction is an explicit conditional route from retained tensors to a group, together with a list of further physical identifications that can now be investigated separately.

06A retained determinant reference must actually be prepared

The manuscript’s auxiliary phase register can preserve a product-volume coherence while erasing separate volume labels. Preservation is not creation: the relevant nonzero reference must be present in the preparation. Similarly, local marker-fixed phases do not automatically patch into a global determinant tensor on every record manifold. These are concrete resources and consistency conditions for the proposed group reduction. A stronger SMM/DTT law would generate the reference, maintain it through completion and demonstrate its global transport. Until that is done, the stabilizer theorem identifies exactly what group follows from the retained tensor, while leaving the tensor’s physical selection explicit.

07What a physical identification would require

A frame group, an invariant tensor and a loop response are mathematical structures. Identifying them with observed particle charges, interaction strengths and spacetime forces additionally requires matter statistics, chirality, dynamics, normalization and controlled scale matching. A connection can be flat even when its allowed structure group is large. A finite auxiliary gap can be positive without establishing a continuum Yang–Mills mass gap. The SMM/DTT programme becomes sharper when these distinctions are retained: a proposed temporal source law can then be asked to reproduce specific carriers and coefficients rather than receiving credit for empirical physics merely because familiar group labels appear.

Gauge-invariant density matrices and neutral amplitudes are different notions. Averaging a density matrix over frames can leave a maximally mixed state in a nontrivial charged representation. Averaging amplitudes coherently projects onto invariant vectors and can instead select a singlet sector. A completion mechanism must specify which operation it implements and where its reference carrier resides. This distinction matters when interpreting a static singlet calculation as a physically generated neutral sector: symmetry of the Hamiltonian preserves a chosen sector but does not automatically prepare it.

KEEP THE CONNECTION

Key ideas

  • The determinant tensor reduces U(3)×U(2) to its total-determinant-one subgroup.
  • The global group includes a ℤ₆ quotient and one relative Abelian factor.
  • Carrier ranks and a familiar group do not establish the observed Standard Model.

Scope of the argument. Conditional group stabilizer from supplied carrier and global retention data; empirical Standard-Model reconstruction remains incomplete.
